To help even the odds all the weapons are equal and everyone can get the same weapons, it’s not pay to play, it’s play for skills!! Weapons being equal, it comes down to one persons adaptability to learn to use the skills and advantages with the cards over another. I mention this because this is a shooter “Wild West” game that’s supposed to focus on shooting. SOO many people cried and complained about the Wild West being to wild, now Rockstar made it impossible to find people and enjoy each others company, whether it’s friendly or in battle. GTA, which is made by the same company, makes that game which almost impossible to play because everyone blows everything up. Weapons and button jamming being equal, you’ll win if they are holding L2 and firing down the barrel as opposed to hip fire. When you get close tap the L2 like you’ll aim, don’t hold it down, just grappling it will lock on, then go to blasting. Most people don’t realize, and I hear the frustration all the time, that hip firing with any weapon increases your firing rate about 15- 20% faster than aiming down the sites. Tonic up, Hop off the horse, activate dead eye, zag back and forth, and blast them with a shot got or side hip fire with the semi pistols.
I WAS MINDING MY BUSINESS FREE
Slippery bastard won’t help against free aim, but as you get closer it eliminates 97% of their ability to lock on with a repeater or bolt action weapon. Get on that horse, swap to Slippery Bastard and stay on the tonics. Most players try to keep a distance for sniping, these guys can’t battle up close. Best defense I’ve found is a good offense. Get on the horse and run in odd patterns. Have to switch on the fly or change just after you respawn when you have about 5-10 seconds before the opponent can find you.

There is also another card that makes you take less damage while sprinting. Have to zig zag around, jump, run through trees to lose aim, and even swap to the dead eye card that reduces damage when used. To avoid them you can’t run straight lines. But that’s key, learning that free aim and leading the shot, watching patterns, knowing the grade of the land or rooftops, watching the mini map and anticipating shot locations on the fly. He was a free aiming fool and stayed on his tonics. One such player I’ve seen take on a 7 man posse for about 10 minutes and he never died once. There’s a handful, a few are in my crew, that are crazy deadly no matter what you do.

Well, let me preface that with most snipers. Bolt action, Carcano, semi shotgun and pistols. Stats aren’t what all the hype was about when it came out. This is when I’d love to see them add ability card load outs, players like myself can change cards 5-6 times in a single battle as players adjust or get frustrated and change how they attack. I change mine on the fly several times in a battle depending on how my opponent attacks. My advice, learn to snipe and use those cards and learn to fight short range with pistols and shotguns and using those cards. This way you always have a health tonic and can always keep dead eye going for it’s boost affect while tanking. The potion boosts all three areas: health, stamina, and dead eye. Need to put level 3 health on the health wheel and level 2 potion on the dead eye wheel. Mine is always pistols, tankers put it on the level 3 health tonic or the level 2 potion. On the weapon wheel where you can select a “one tap” on the L2 (PS4/5) and quickly bring up that object. Most good players with this build have the quick wheel selector on the health tonic. I forget the name without logging into the game and looking at the cards. But I think they merged that one, so it’s not as affective anymore. There’s another that can be used in its place that increases health with higher stamina. Once the hat is gone you increase your health damage by almost 40% on a second shot and that can increase if your opponent is using specific cards for a specific weapon style. Unless you can have constant access to a hat than it’s a one shot protector only about 95% of the time, there is a small chance that it won’t work and you’ll take a huge hit to your health. Never without one is a controversial one depending on the school of thought. Most commonly used build is Slow N Steady, Fool Me Once, Iron Lung, and Never Without One. Overeating Crips stew will do the same thing. That crazy weight gain tonic, a friend tried those, took 10 of those to fatten him up.
